Parallel Migration Task List Example

This sample task list covers a parallel migration with replication approach

to upgrade an older system to Adaptive Server Enterprise 12.5.

The scenario for this task list is:

• A major telecommunications company cannot afford system

downtime for the upgrade.

• In the event of failure, the system cannot be down more than 15

minutes and the company cannot afford more than 1 hour of data loss.

The migration must support these contingency requirements if a

production back-out is required.

This example does not repeat the preparation steps to given in the previous
